Competition and intermittent periods of unemployment often increase stress among individuals, couples, and families. Divorce and other separations challenge parents, children, and youth.  He believes that supportive counseling can help.

As a seasoned mental health practitioner and adjunct professor at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Dr. Pines also assist mental health professionals to identify adolescents at risk for suicide and manage different aspects of treatment and recovery.
