Dr. Nelly Vazquez completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California in Santa Cruz and received her Doctorate in Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology.  She has over 12 years of professional experience as a licensed Clinical Psychologist.

Dr. Vazquez has received advanced training in multiple Evidenced Based Practices. She is an EMDR certified therapist (EMDR.com). Consistent with the EMDR model, she believes that we are all programmed with the ability to reprogram ourselves. Dr. Vazquez facilitates this process by assisting the individual to work through the current challenges and / or various disturbing memories that affect their ability to thrive.

She has worked in various settings as an in-home therapist, school-based therapist, college therapist, in private practice, at a juvenile hall, in group homes, regional center homes, an inner city hospital, community-based clinics, and a retirement home/assisted living facility.

Dr. Vazquez is dedicated in working with diverse populations. She has experience working with all ages and life stages from different walks of life. She currently works with individual adults struggling with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, various emotional disturbances, and chronic pain.
