Nicole received her Bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy and Masters in Social Work (MSW) from University of Southern California. She is a diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive herapy (ACT), a certified Cognitive Therapist and a certified Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) Therapist. Ms. Gutman provides short-term, evidence-based treatments to clients of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and serves as Field Instructor for MSW students.

Nicole has over 10 years of experience treating anxiety, depression, relationship Issues, grief and loss, post-traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders and substance use disorders. She enjoys helping individuals to learn more about themselves, change unhelpful patterns, and use their inherent strengths to overcome life challenges. Ms. Gutman integrates a supportive and compassionate style, research supported techniques and each individual’s unique preferences and values in therapy. She values work-life balance and in her spare time enjoys hiking, art, yoga, and traveling.
