Veronica Camacho is a licensed clinical social worker with 16 years of practice, knowledge, and training in clinical practice.  She received a bachelor’s degree from Cal State San Bernardino in Sociology with an emphasis in social work, and received her graduate degree from Barry University in Miami in 2004.  Since graduating, she has been providing clinical services to adults in mental health settings with various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mood and thought disorders.  However, for the past several years, her focus has been on trauma and the role it plays in a person’s mental health.  She is skilled in assessing the needs of her clients and meeting them where they are and lean toward an eclectic treatment approach, combining therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Mindfulness, EMDR, and Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM). She emphasizes on somatic therapies which focus on how trauma is held in the body and as well as in the mind in order to help those seeking treatment to better understand themselves.
